Music licensing within the fitness industry has undergone several changes within the past few years, and for some instructors, understanding which music can be used in which environments can seem a bit daunting.

Pure Energy alone offers three ranges of albums that can be used for group exercise classes under different music licences.

Before you start panicking or doing classes in silence, let’s break down Pure Energy’s products and simplify their usage allowances.

Original Artist Music

What is it?

Simply put, Pure Energy’s albums such as ‘Drum & Bass: The Mixes‘, ‘Step to the Future Volume 2‘ and ‘At The Movies‘ are original artist albums. This means that the songs featured on the albums are performed by the original singer or band, and it’s the track that your classes will be familiar with. The Pure Energy Production Team take these songs and mix them to be suitable for the group exercise environment, maximising your musical fitness experience and making them user friendly for your session.

What if I use more than one of these product ranges?

You can mix and match between the music content you use to suit the environments you teach in, as well as your music licensing budget. If you need more help in selecting the right music for your classes, give the Pure Energy team a call during office hours on 01709 710022.

Top tip: If you are mixing and matching your music, keep a record in your diary of which classes you use original artist & PPL free music for. That way you will avoid going over the amount of classes you have covered for.
